Muay Thai

We are the area's only authentic Muay Thai gym! We preserve the true art of Thai style boxing. We are not a karate school! You will learn the traditions, techniques, and drills used by profession Thai fighters. You will learn proper foot work, body mechanics, punching, kicking, elbows, knees, and clinching techniques. Students will pair up and hold focus mitts for boxing combinations and thai pads for muay thai kicking combinations. This is a step by step learning process that will start at the most basic level. In every class, we train in a safe and fun learning environment. Men, women and children over the age of 12 are all encouraged to participate.

Today, Kru Eric is dedicated full time to teaching the art of Muay Thai. He continues to sharpen his skills as a world class trainer by traveling to Thailand several times a year. Kru Eric is one of the very few westerners to be admited into Sereephap Camp in Northern Thailand. You will receive nothing less than authentic, world class Muay Thai instruction at Bucks County Muay Thai.

"Nak Muay Geng!"

Muay Thai, also known as Thai boxing or Thai kickboxing, is the national
sport of Thailand. Traditional muay Thai has a long history in Thailand as a
martial art used by the military. Today's "sport muay Thai," slightly varies from
the original art , but still uses an arsenal of powerful shin kicks, punches, along
with devastating knee and elbow strikes. For this reason, muay Thai is also
know as 'The Science of Eight Limbs'.

The conditioning regimen of a muay Thai fighter is legendary for its
intensity and rigour. Its focus is on hardening the eight anatomical weapons.

So much so that is said that getting hit with a shin kick from a Thai fighter is the equivalent to getting hit with a baseball bat.

Muay Thai has heavily influenced the development of kickboxing, which was later created in Japan, Europe and North America. In the last decade, muay Thai has enjoyed a boost in popularity throughout the world do to it's effectiveness in popular no holds barred events such as UFC and Pride competitions. Today it is widely recognized that a combination of grappling arts, such as Judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu or  Submission wrestling, crossed with muay Thai, is today's prevailing combination in such fights.
